The polishing machine [1] consists of basic components such as a base, a dish, a polishing fabric, a polishing cover and a cover. The motor is fixed on the base, and the taper sleeve for fixing the polishing disc is connected to the motor shaft through a screw. The polishing fabric is fastened to the polishing disk by a ferrule. After the motor is turned on by the switch on the base, the sample can be manually pressed to polish the rotating polishing disk. Polishing materials are used for throwing materials, grinding and polishing glass, metal, leather, semiconductor, plastic, gemstone, jade, stainless steel grinding and polishing.

For example, glass polishing is carried out by using a powdery mixture of iron oxide red, tin dioxide, aluminum oxide, cerium oxide, strontium carbonate, chalk, clay, diatomaceous earth, and the like.

There are four types of polishing pastes commonly used.

(1) White polishing paste. It is made of lime, stearic acid, fatty acid, lacquer, butter, sheep oil, white wax, etc. It is used for polishing nickel, copper, aluminum and bakelite.

(2) Yellow polishing paste. It is made of feldspar powder and lacquer, fatty acid, rosin, yellow dan, lime, and earth red powder. It is used for polishing copper, iron, aluminum and bakelite.

(3) Green polishing paste. It is made of a combination of fatty acid and chrome oxide green, and is used for polishing stainless steel and chrome.

(4) Red polishing paste. It is made up of fatty acid, white wax, iron oxide red, etc. It is used for polishing before metal plating and polishing materials such as gold and silver return light. The polishing machine mainly has vibration polishing machine and traditional manual polishing machine.
